Is it possible to use generic/virtual lighting fixtures in the model and define their main photometric parameters, or is it necessary to use specific products and families from particular manufacturers?</p><p>My main concern is the risk of being tied to a specific manufacturer. For example, if I select and model a specific ceiling fixture from a particular brand, I may then feel committed to purchasing that exact product. However, my trusted supplier might not carry that specific product or might recommend an equivalent alternative from another manufacturer.</p><p>I live in the province of Cuneo, Italy, so it is also important for me to consider the availability of the products through local suppliers and retailers.</p><p>From a lighting-design perspective, I’m also wondering how significant the differences between manufacturers are when the main technical specifications are comparable — for example, power consumption, luminous flux, color temperature, color rendering index (CRI), photometric distribution, and optical characteristics. My assumption is that, if these photometric parameters are sufficiently similar, the differences in the final lighting result should be relatively limited.</p><p>Would you therefore recommend starting the design using a generic lighting fixture, specifying its relevant technical and photometric parameters, and only selecting the actual commercial product at a later stage based on availability?</p><p>Alternatively, if you think it is preferable to use real products from the beginning, which manufacturers would you recommend for flush-mounted ceiling fixtures, considering quality, lighting performance, and product availability — ideally with brands that are also relatively easy to source in the Cuneo area?</p><p>Thanks in advance for your advice!</p>]]></content:encoded>

A homogeneous downlight grid creates the opposite effect (canteen, retail, supermarket) regardless of dimming level. We are considering purchasing DIALux evo and need to confirm if this usage model complies with the software's licensing terms.</p><p>After checking the available documentation, especially item 5.2 of the Terms and Conditions of Use, we couldn't find specific information about using the software in a shared environment through remote access.</p><p>Therefore, we would kindly like to get a straightforward answer on the following points:</p><p>1. Use via RDP on a shared machine</p><p>Is it allowed to install and use a DIALux evo license on a corporate machine that is accessed remotely by different users through RDP?</p><p>2. Users <br>Different users on the same machine Considering that users access the same machine at different times, each using their own RDP session, is this use allowed with a single license installed on that device? <br>3. Simultaneous use If two or more users access the same machine at the same time through different RDP sessions, is it allowed to use DIALux evo this way with a single license? <br>4. Use on individual laptops Is it allowed to install the same license on more than one laptop, as long as the software is not used simultaneously on the devices? <br>5. Device replacement In case of replacing one laptop with another, what is the correct procedure to transfer the license to the new device? Is there any transition period or any limitation for this transfer? Our main goal is to ensure that the usage model adopted by the company is fully in line with DIAL’s licensing rules before we proceed with the purchase.<br><br>If possible, we would like to receive a straightforward answer for each of the items above (allowed/not allowed), along with any conditions or restrictions that need to be observed.
