RAL colour in Materials tool

Hi DIAL Team,

Would you be able to introduce RAL colour input box along with already existing HEX one? In lighting industry we mostly use RAL instead of HEX and it would be nice to have it built in DIALux instead of using an online converter tool

Candela reading when using 'result in surface' features.

Hi, I have a problem.

I used the “result on surface” function to get the lux reading on my table surface. But when I go to the document section, it also shows candela values. I don’t want candela readings — I only need lux. Can anyone help me with this?

I’m still new to Dialux and have a lot to learn. I have a question about daylighting calculation. Is the north orientation important in our project when considering daylight? Will it affect the calculation? And is it also important if I don’t change the project location? For example, if the project is in Malaysia but I use the default location in Germany.

Copy & Paste Work Plane / Work Areas

automatically use level background as room background

When changing background DWG plans, you have to deselect the old plan and select the new plan for each individual room. This takes alot of time in large projects. If every room on a level would automatically have the same background plan as the level it is on, that would save alot of time.

Scene-specific background plans for CAD views

If I want to include a background plan in all views, it would be useful if this applied only to all views within the current scene/situation I am currently working in in CAD. This would allow different background plans to be assigned to different situations — for example, a separate plan for each floor or a different plan for each building.

100% 3D Modelling within EVO - this almost broke me :)

Horizontal illuminance problems, adaptive is more realistic but I cannot use this for my requirements.

Using adaptive

illuminance shows sensible isolux contours, using horizontal, no matter the grid spacing, does not, however I cannot use adaptive for light spill assessment.s how do I get a sensible result out of horizontal illuminance?

Translation suggestion for Japanese UI ("ALL TOGETHER")

Hello DIAL team,

I would like to provide feedback regarding the Japanese translation in DIALux evo 14.0.

In the calculation setting, the option “ALL TOGETHER” is translated as “全員集合“ in Japanese.

However, “全員集合“ usually means “all people gather together” and sounds unnatural in a software/calculation context.

More natural translations would be:

“一括計算“ (batch calculation)
“全室一括“ (calculate all rooms together)
“まとめて計算“ (calculate altogether)

“ROOM BY ROOM(部屋ごと)” is understandable, but “ALL TOGETHER” feels awkward in Japanese UI terminology.

I hope this feedback is helpful for future localization improvements.
