Currently, there is no good solution for LED lines and LED strips of different lengths in DIALUX.
I get around this, for example, by using an LDT file that represents a 10 cm piece of an LED profile and then use it to create long LED arrangements for light coves and similar features that reflect the length of the cove. A 5.3 m long cove then consists of 53 such 10 cm pieces, and the entire project is full of such arrangements of various lengths.
Project example:
This is a viable approach for planning the floor plan, but it is a nightmare in terms of documentation, as I end up with a completely confusing lighting layout plan and pages and pages of lists of 10 cm profiles with position details 😱
Creating a separate new LDT for each line is extremely time-consuming and inflexible.
Suggestion for a simple solution
I can already adjust the luminous flux and power of a luminaire perfectly in DIALUX.
There should also be a way to adjust the length of the luminaire directly in DIALUX. That's all.
The luminaire length is just another data point in an LDT file.
DIALUX should be able to change this very easily, and then you would have the correct information for this LED line directly in the documentation.
If the luminous flux and power are automatically adjusted when the length is changed, that would be a nice bonus, but not essential for me. I can calculate that myself quickly.
So, I am simply interested in a function that allows the luminaire length to be adjusted directly in DIALUX using LDT, so that LED lines and LED strips of various lengths can be implemented flexibly and quickly 👍
