In Brazil we operate under two primary standards governing public lighting: ABNT NBR 5101:2018, which remains widely used, and the more recent ABNT NBR 5101:2024.

In my work with DIALUX, I have encountered an issue where, although the illumination classes in DIALUX share some similarities with Brazilian standards, there are nuanced differences that require us to adjust parameters manually. Given this challenge, I would like to suggest the inclusion of Brazilian lighting classes as defined in both ABNT NBR 5101:2018 (Classes V and P) and ABNT NBR 5101:2024 (Classes M, C, and P) within the DIALUX software as selectable illumination classes.
