Clarification on Glare Rating Differences in DIALux evo (EN 12464 vs. CIE 112)

When performing glare rating calculations in DIALux evo using EN 12464 and CIE 112, I obtained different glare values.

If the client has not specified a required standard, which standard should be preferred?

When I follow EN 12464, I am unable to achieve the target glare rating. In such cases:

  • How can the required glare rating be achieved?

  • What is the ideal observer height and viewing direction?

  • What tilt angle should be used for the luminaire?

For pole-mounted fixtures with mounting heights of 2.5 m or 3 m:

  • What observer height should be assumed?

  • What luminaire tilt angle is recommended?

Additionally:

  • Which design parameters can be adjusted to achieve the target glare rating?

  • Why do EN 12464 and CIE 112 produce different glare results?

For better understanding, I have attached the native DIALux file and the comparative PDF
