Issue with Daylight Factor Calculation When Including an Adjacent Corridor

Hello Dialux Support Community,

I am encountering an issue with the daylight calculation in my project, specifically regarding the kitchen area and its adjacent corridor. The kitchen is the only area in my design that has windows, while the connecting corridor does not have any windows at all.

 Problem Description:

When I include the corridor in the daylight calculation for the kitchen area, I observe an unexpected increase in the daylight factor. However, when I exclude the corridor from the calculation, the daylight factor decreases. This result is puzzling because the corridor, lacking windows, should not seemingly contribute to an increase in daylight within the kitchen.

I have done a lot of test following the below Steps :

1. Perform daylight calculation for the kitchen area with the corridor included in the model.

2. Note the daylight factor.

3. Remove the corridor from the calculation or model.

4. Perform the daylight calculation again for the kitchen area.

5. Compare the daylight factor with and without the corridor included.

Expected Outcome:

I would expect that the inclusion of a windowless corridor would not affect or would possibly decrease the daylight factor in the kitchen, not increase it.

Actual Outcome:

The daylight factor increases when the corridor is included in the calculation, contrary to expectations.

I would greatly appreciate any insights, suggestions, or solutions regarding this issue. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? Could there be a setting or factor I am overlooking that could explain this increase in daylight factor with the inclusion of the corridor? I am using Dialux Evo 12.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
