I do a lot of studies with LED strips, and so that the values are as close to a real measurement as possible, I currently lower the FM from 0.8 to 0.4. I do this so that the real values of the LED strip continue to appear on the product sheet. I have decided to create, just as I did with the aluminum profile, an extrusion object and give it the properties of transparent and with the values of the polycarbonate manufacturer so as not to have to lower the FM and thus get closer to a real measurement. The problem is that when I make a measurement with Dialux and with the diffuser placed on the LED strip, I get more lux than without the diffuser, which is not possible because the diffuser takes away 22% of the performance. So I would like to know if there is a way to simulate a diffuser in the program or if there is a way to work with LED strips taking into account this loss of performance without having to touch the lumens of the product.
