I am new to DIALux Evo (finally made the transition from DIALux 4!).

I am currently working on external site lighting (roadways, walkways etc.).

Please may someone explain what a floor element is and how this differs from a calculation surface? I have noticed that it has impacted my calculation results (slightly for the better) but I can't understand why.
