Room in the room - light goes through objects

Hi to all of you guys,

would like to ask about your opinion. Very often working on projects where are rooms in the room - see attached picture. Typically big warehouse hall let´s say 10m high with few small rooms inside (about 3m height), like office, toilet, shower and similar. Usually I´m using two floors design (one for these small rooms and second for the storage area) than cut the floor in 2nd floor to create the proper height of the warehouse area. If there is a better way, please let me know :) I´d really appreciate that.

But sometimes, when the design is already done and the customer asks for these small rooms inside I have to create them via the objects only (again, if there is a better way please notice me) - see attached project. But then, even I fitted them precisely and perfectly, somehow the light is going through the walls or ceiling (objects). So even I have close room with no luminarie inisde, there is a bit of light - see the project file. Can you please explain me why?

Hi Michal,

The low light values within the "room" are caused by interpolation artifacts because the floor and walls are not cut by objects (extrusion bodies).

If you use room elements instead of objects, the other surfaces are cut and the phenomenon does not occur. This also has the additional advantage that the "room" is still taken into account if you activate the calculation option "Without objects and furniture".
