Lighting concept with different lighting strategies

A good lighting concept, which also focuses on people's well-being, should be based on at least two different lighting strategies. Because not only lighting technology, but also the different lighting applications define the quality and success of the lighting concept.

The most common lighting strategy is the direct laminar illumination. It is generated by a very wide beam characteristic. Just a few luminaires are sufficient to illuminate a large area uniformly. This makes direct lighting a very efficient solution for fulfilling all visual task requirements. It is therefore often referred to as "general lighting".

With direct laminar illumination, all the individual areas blur together. As a result, the room appears monotonous and offers no "eye catcher". To create an exciting lighting concept that also promotes a sense of well-being, accent lighting is a must. This is because accents direct the eye and create plasticity and dynamics through the interplay of light and shadow. They emphasize objects in an exhibition, a picture on the wall, a reception counter at the doctor's office or even tables in a restaurant.

We can demonstrate the different lighting strategies live in our training room, the "White Lab". The following pictures give an insight into our hybrid seminar "Expert for Lighting Design".
