Evaluate light emissions precisely according to standards
The focus of this release is on the topic of light emissions. Your results can now be directly compared with the maximum values of standards such as EN 12464-2:2014, CIE 150:2017, ÖNORM O 1052:2022, LAI 2012, and NSVV – all displayed clearly and intuitively.
You can also define the applicable environmental zone directly within DIALux evo, ensuring that the correct threshold values from the respective standards are automatically taken into account.
New calculation surfaces for vertical illuminance and luminance allow you to carry out even more detailed evaluations of your project.
Identify and fix deviations instantly
Especially helpful is the automatic target value check. DIALux evo verifies whether your lighting setup complies with the selected standards and visually highlights any deviations. This allows you to immediately identify where adjustments are needed.
The visual analysis in the CAD view has also been improved: maximum values can now be located with a single click. One standout feature: exceedances can now be traced directly back to the responsible luminaire. An arrow in the CAD view shows you exactly which light source is causing the excessive values – saving you from a potentially time-consuming search.
Minimum and maximum values are now displayed on all relevant calculation surfaces in the CAD view. With DIALux evo 13.1, you can jump directly to these spots from the results dialog – giving you even better control and visibility.
Another helpful addition: a new feature lets you jump directly to any object in the project you previously selected – whether it’s a piece of furniture, a calculation point, or a lighting scene. This saves you a great deal of time, especially in large projects.
Improvements in the Open BIM area
You can now save IFC objects as DIALux furniture and reuse them at any time – saving time and offering greater flexibility in your planning process. The search function in the project tree has also been improved: found objects are now shown in their hierarchical structure, so you can immediately see where they’re located.
The IFC export now fully complies with the official IFC 2x3 TC1 standard – including corrected attribute paths and data lengths according to standard specifications, ensuring reliable processing in other BIM tools.
And the best part: the next release is just around the corner! You can look forward to a comprehensive IFC package, which will significantly expand the functionality once again – including the ability to show and hide objects as needed.
