Upvote your desired features for DIALux evo

Today I have news about the Feature Upvote for you. First of all, thank you for entering your features there and also voting among yourselves for them. Our goal is to collect all the features in one place for the public to see. Everyone is invited to contribute to this list. The more votes a feature gets, the more likely it is to be implemented. This is the first time this offer has been made in this form. With your features and votes, you can guide us and influence the further development of DIALux. Take advantage of this opportunity.

How do we deal with the Feature Upvote?

We will probably not work through this list strictly from top to bottom. We are developing DIALux for different target groups, manufacturers as well as lighting designers. We want to do justice to different interests. The number of votes is an important criterion that helps us prioritise. We first check the development effort for each feature.
Therefore, we will sometimes give priority to features with fewer votes. Just because this feature fits well into the development or has only a low effort.

The easiest way to communicate the progress of a feature is through its status. If features do not have a status yet, they are initially unprocessed. We regularly sort new features into topic areas defined by us. You can find these topics at the top of the tags. You can filter the features according to these topics.

To explain the status:

Planned: We have planned the feature. Planned also means that we will be working on the feature soon and that it will come.

In Progress: Our software development team is currently working on it.

In Beta: We have developed the feature and are testing it.

Delivered: The feature is already implemented in our latest version. We release features in major versions, intermediate versions and patch versions. If you have installed the latest version, all delivered features are included.

We will also tell you transparently why we do not want to or cannot implement individual features.

This will give you a better overview of the list. We do not set the features to versions. The status of a feature shows what will happen next.

In one of the next articles, we will also give you an outlook of what you can expect in DIALux evo 12.
